As one of the twentieth-century's leading theologians, Bonhoeffer has also been hailed for his opposition to Hitler. Bonhoeffer was arrested for attempting to assassinate Hitler and was executed in a concentration camp only days before liberation. His small volume Life Together is a clarion call for true Christian community. His Discipleship is no less compelling.
